Privacy Policy & Terms
Life Forecast is made in Australia. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to anything you write here and what you agree to by using the app. It is written to meet the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Privacy Policy
If you are signed out, your entries stay on your device
Without an account, everything you write — your schedule, your notes, your settings and your reflections — is saved only in your own browser’s local storage on the device you are using. It is not uploaded to us, and we cannot read it. Signed out, Life Forecast does not sync between devices: your phone and your computer each hold their own separate copy. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes it permanently, and we hold no copy to restore.
Anything typed into Breathing Room or The Clearing is held in memory only, never written to storage and never sent anywhere. It disappears when the screen clears.
Optional account and sync
Signing in is optional and Life Forecast works fully without it. If you do create an account with an email address (or through Google), your forecast — entries, preferences, check-ins and daily snapshots — is stored on our servers under your account so it can follow you to another browser or device. The first time you sign in on a device that already holds a forecast, we ask before bringing anything across.
Your data is held in a database with access rules that allow only your own account to read or write your rows. You can delete it at any time by asking us at the address below, or by signing out and clearing this site’s data for the local copy.
Anything typed into The Clearing is never part of this. It has no field, column or record anywhere in the account system, and it is never uploaded, synced or backed up.
Anonymous product analytics
Once you finish onboarding, we send anonymous usage analytics through PostHog so we can see which parts of the app are actually used. These are event names with simple booleans and counts only. No free text is ever included — no entry content, no titles, no crisis-related text, no names and no email addresses. Nothing sent can identify you.
Payment
The one-time A$9.99 AUD purchase (GST included) is processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen, handled or stored by Life Forecast. Stripe handles that payment under its own privacy terms.
Age
Before you start, we ask one question: whether you are 16 or over. We never ask for a birth date, a name, an address or any other identifying information. Your answer is kept on your device with the rest of your settings, is never synced to an account and is never included in analytics. You can change it in Settings.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it and to have it deleted. If you are signed out, we hold nothing personal about you at all: your entries live on your device and analytics are anonymous. If you have an account, we hold your email address and the forecast you have synced — you can ask us to delete both at any time, and you can delete the local copy by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Terms of Service
What Life Forecast is
Life Forecast is a personal calendar and reflection tool. It is not a medical device, not a counselling service and not a substitute for a doctor, a therapist or an emergency service. If you are in danger or in crisis, please contact your local emergency service — in Australia, call 000 — or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Your content
What you write is yours. We claim no ownership of it. If you are signed out it never leaves your device, so keeping it safe is up to you. If you sign in, it is stored under your account so you can reach it from another device, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Purchase
Life Forecast is free for your first 7 days. After that, the one-time A$9.99 AUD purchase (GST included) unlocks the whole app for good. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Signing in keeps your unlock with your account, so it survives a cleared browser or a new device. If you stay signed out the unlock lives in this browser only — keep your emailed receipt, and email hello.lifeforecast@gmail.com if you need help restoring it.
Refunds
If the purchase does not do what this page says it does, email us with your receipt and we will refund it. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by anything here.
Age
Life Forecast is for people aged 16 and over. This is our own product policy. If you tell us you are under 16, the app stays closed.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page changes with it, and the date below is updated. Last updated 10 September 2026.
